Exploring the Local Area
Our holiday caravans are located at Brigham Holiday Park and Grasmoor View Holiday Park in Winscales, both ideally situated on the edge of the Western Lake District, near Cockermouth. Whether you're staying in Brigham or Winscales, you'll have easy access to picturesque lakes, stunning fells, the beautiful Cumbrian coastline and many of Cumbria's most popular attractions.
Cockermouth, just a few miles from both holiday parks, is a vibrant market town with everything you'll need during your stay. You'll find major supermarkets including Aldi, Sainsbury's and Lidl, together with a wide variety of independent shops, restaurants, cafés and takeaways, making Cockermouth a lovely place to visit and explore.

From both holiday parks, you'll have easy access to the Lake District and the beautiful Cumbrian coastline, with plenty of wonderful day trip options, including:
- Workington - 6.5 miles
- Maryport - 7 miles
- Whitehaven - 12 miles
- St. Bees - 16 miles
- Solway Firth - 20 miles
Northern Lake District
Close by you'll also find some of the region's most beautiful lakes and fells:

As local residents, one of our favourite places to enjoy a walk with our dogs is Whinlatter Forest, with its scenic walking trails and beautiful forest views. We also love the breathtaking scenery at Surprise View and nearby Ashness Bridge. If you're exploring Cockermouth, Wordsworth House & Garden and Jennings Brewery are also well worth a visit, with the brewery offering guided tours and a chance to sample its famous Cumbrian ales.
With so much within easy reach, both locations provide an excellent base for exploring the Western Lake District, the beautiful Cumbrian coastline and many of Cumbria's best-loved attractions.
